The weather once again spoilt February monthly medal scheduled to be played last Saturday when over sixty players were due to take part. With very heavy overnight frost delayed the opening the course until 11.30 am making it too late to play the medal competition, in its place a nine hole stableford competition was played when the field was reduced to thirty five players. The February monthly medal will now be played on Saturday March 6th replacing the Alford Cup Bogey competition which will be played in mid week later on in the season.

The winner of the stableford competition was one handicapper Elliot Harding scoring 21 stableford points with his father Barry in second place.

The highlight of the day was when Martin Price was proudly showing off his newly acquired motor buggy before going out to play.  Starting on at the first tee Martin hit an excellent shot down the middle of the fairway, he then jumped into the buggy to drive down to play his second shot, unfortunately the buggy broke down short of his ball, so Martin and his passenger had to abandon the buggy and walk the rest of the round carrying their clubs, never mind Martin look at the extra exercise you had.
