A great day was had by all yesterday for the Captain v’s Vice Captain team match play battling for the Navy Shield.
A great turnout of 37 players enjoying the potent Captains punch, early breakfast rolls and some good banter and golf. The course is looking in great condition and it was a welcome first use of the newly extended upstairs rooms.
Although I had to hand over a fiver, losing my game yesterday, my team came through with flying colours winning by 5 1/2 to 4 1/2, congratulations to the Captains team and again Thank you to all that took part and continuing to support this long standing club start of season tradition.
Congratulations also to the Wally of the Week, with out doubt deservedly won this week by Jason Rickard
