On Saturday 7th September, Milford Haven Golf Club held its annual meeting of, who battled it out for the prestigious Barclays Plate, a competition exclusive to the clubs past Captains. The weather was fine and some excellent scores were returned:-
- Steve Brown claimed the only 2 of the day.
- Paul Eva was 3rd with 39pts.
- 2023 winner John Price narrowly missed out on back to back wins with 40pts.
- But the winner on the day with 41pts went to Andrew Smith.
An excellent day was enjoyed by all, and following the golf all thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic evening meal cooked and served by Antony Mighal, his wife Sharon and Diane.
The evening was capped off with some time honoured reminiscing of past captains years and club banter. Here’s to a group of very special people who have served the club for many years and are part of a very special and honoured group of members.
