On Friday the 18th of September we held the first annual Club Fundraiser.
From the minute this was announced we had fantastic support from all our
members and many of our Charity day runners who entered teams for the day.
We had 25 teams play a Choker competition on the day and although the
weather wasnt as kind to us as many of the Fridays this summer we all made
it round.
1st Place went to The Evas led by Liam Eva
2nd Place went the Dragon LNG team led by Richie Hull
3rd Place went to HPB from St Brides Hotel led by Paul Reves-Graham
Congratulations to those teams and to all that played on the day.
During the weeks leading up to the fundraiser we had many members and
companies donate prizes and monies including Four Ball to Ashburnham, a
Taylormade Trolley Bag , various vouchers from local business’s and we
managed to have some great team prizes and raffle prizes with no money taken
from the fundraising pot.
So thank you to all who played, donated or just came out for drink and
supported the day.
We managed to raise a total of £4400 which will go towards projects on the
course and in the clubhouse which will made known as we start them.
Once again thank you to everyone.
We are nearing the end of our summer fixtures now and hope to see you on the
course through the Autumn and Winter.
