Last weekend the Rabbits section went on our first annual trip for 5 years.
On day 1 we played at Fairwood Park in Swansea in some boggy conditions. Despite this, the scoring was excellent and competitive.
With the unseasonable October weather it was imperative for the entire team to remain hydrated. This was taken very seriously by the vast majority, many still taking on fluids until the early hours along Wind Street. On Sunday morning, In a strange turn of events, it was quickly identified that the entire team had become dehydrated in just a few short hours! This was quickly rectified with a swift breakfast before continuing our tour to Derllys Court Golf Club in Meidrim.
As luck would have it, the morning rehydration appeared to have actually failed as the scoring was in no way reminiscent of day one. That being said, it was still very competitive.
Anyway, the result for the 36 hole competition:
3rd – Brian Summons – 60 points
2nd – Nick Hughes – 60 points
Winner – Tony Pratt – 69 points.
Great golf on both days Tony on unfamiliar golf courses.
We also held a nearest the pin contest on both days and Tony won both!
Thank you to everyone who has helped organise this very enjoyable trip, the golf courses for hosting us, and to the players that came along.
